I rode in a buddy's ls2 gto. After wot i would lift and the exhaust would give this snapping and popping noise on over rev. It sounded awesome!! what do I need to do to my tune to get my ls1 to do that?? iv'e tried searching but can find the right key words.

what do i need to do? cut back timing? less fuel?

Going from memory so don't take for granted without checking further but in HPTuners I believe it deals with DFCO. I think it's normally on in LS1 Firebirds and Camaros and many turn it off to NOT cut off fuel and stop the popping. This might get you headed in the right (hopefully) direction.
