Default Chip under the gas pedal?

My friend told me he saw it on Motorhead garage. It takes the drive by wire lag out of the pedal with performance mode on this chip which attaches under the pedal. Did anyone see this, is it worth it & can a good tuner like Frost do the same thing w/ the pcm when i send it to him for a Refrost update? Ty. Brian

All they do is make the pedal more touchy. More throttle opening for a given pedal position, then the last 20% does nothing extra, which gives the illusion of more power when you're not flooring it. Doesn't and can't reduce any time lag between pedal movement and throttle blade movement.

Personally I like a more progressive pedal that has good resolution and driveability at small openings. If I want more power I'll push my foot down further.

Your 99 would have a cable throttle though, unless you've done a conversion?
