pcm questions
pcm questions Have a couple of questions. I have a 2000 ws6. Just recently put in a 434 ls2. Got told by a engine builder that the pcm wont recognize the cubes. And I should up grade to a 03-04 truck pcm. Better throttle response ect. Faster processor. Is this true or should I just stick with my pcm.i have? Also is there any cons to switching ecm or does anybody ever do it?

03-04 truck PCMs are just a little better, not worth the swap
You may want to flash a 2002 tune to your current PCM, it is a better OS but your current computer works fine even for boosted engines

You'll need to full flash or write entire a 2002 OS#12212156, thats the stock OS of a 2002. It just gives you a better base for building your tune off of. It will get rid of the back up ve and open you up for more custom OS options down the road.
