Default TCC Oscillates > 70MPH

New 4L70E in a 03 Silverado that was a 5 spd.

Trans shifts fine and TCC applies above 40 > 45mph.

However as soon as I go over 70 MPH, the TCC starts oscillating On / Off every .5 or 1 second.

I can lock the TCC on with HP tuners scanner and it stays on. Everything in the scanner looks good going down the highway.

Anyone have any Ideas ?

I have Misfire disabled. With it on, the TCC would not come on due to the small cam.

Do you have the torque converter lockup hooked up to the brake switch?

What is the scanner showing for TCC Mode when it won't stay locked?

Hooked up through brake switch ?

I would think that the ECM would know when the brakes are engaged and dis engage the TCC via the add on harness ? Tho I may be wrong ?

As for the Mode of the TCC ? I'll have to drive it again to find out that. Tho I do know I selected shift from 3 > 4th with TCC on. If that's a good thing or not.. ?
What should it be ? I seen no mode selection in the tune, other then Automatic 4L60E , which is what I selected .

Here again, I can lock it up and it stays on with HP Scanner .

TCC Mode is a PID you data log. You have to determine if it is a PCM issue or a trans issue. If the PCM is commanding lockup and the converter is unlocking then it is a trans issue.

In a factory auto there is a switch that does your brake lights and the TCC unlock when you press the brake pedal. When you converted to auto if you did not add the wire (purple normally) to your brake switch your converter will not stay locked.

I don't think it's a trans issue as I can keep it locked with HP Scanner.

As for the brake light wire, This would create an issue above 70mph ? As it locks fine until 70 .
