Default VSS Programming

I am being asked to provide the pulses per driveline revolution to a programmer.

I have a dakota digital sensor (16k ppm) that is hooked to a 17 tooth driven gear for my 3.08 rear end.

I have a 25.7" tall tire that is listed as 80.6" in circumference. Based on this I calculated 786.1 tire revolutions per mile. But since the axle turns 3.08 times per tire turn then I get 2421.2 driveline revolutions per mile. When I divide the pulses by the 2 different revolutions per mile I get 2 different numbers and I don't know which one is correct.

So I am asking is my pulses per driveline revolution 6.61? or is it 20.35?

Cheers
Bret
