Default possibly more timing?

my setup is a 5.3L short block with 243heads, arp head studs, ls9 head gaskets and ls6 intake manifold with epp blower cam , should be at 9:1cr and im running 93 oct

Dur @ .050 232 int 240 exh
Lift 595 int .608 exh
Lobe Sep 115.0

im currently running 12lbs through front mount t76 turbo and while driving im seein IAT temps on average 80degrees, cooler days get to 65 hotter days in slow traffic 95

having my A/F at 12:1 and timing dropping to 14degrees all while in boost from 3200rpms and up, im getting zero knock and car pulls hard but was wondering if it would be safe to up timing to 16 degrees while in boost see what it does and keep going up 1 degree at a time till i detect knock or is this a bad idea and i should leave alone

want to get most out of my set up atm so im doing all the fine tuning and tweeking atm

Everything I have seen says leave the timing low. 13* seems to be the the # that keeps ring lands intact. There are many people running 14+ lbs on a stock block 5.3. At some point you will bend the rods, but the pistons won't break because of detonation (timing). Also consider a methanol injection kit. They are cheap insurance against detonation. I run my car closer to 11.5 : 1 AFR as well. Just my .02

i would take it to the track and see if it picks up add 1 degree then 2 if it doesnt pick up much i would turn it back down to 14.. running on the lean side of things like you are its better to have a little extra timing pulled.

The only way to know if the added timing is adding power/torque is to put it on a dyno... you can use the track, but you can't see where in the RPM range it picks up or doesn't on the track. You should not just keep adding timing till you get knock - absolutely not the way to tune! And I would also recommend meth/water injection...
