DBW to DBC?
I picked up an L33 from a 06 Envoy and it has DBW Tb, and I want to run DBC TB. Will the computer I have for the Envoy still work? Can it be changed in the tune, or will I need a different ecu?

I'm not positive about which ECM the '06 Envoy has, but typically you can "write-entire" an operating system from a similar ECM that is from a drive by cable vehicle.
For example, I used a '99 Corvette ECM and over-wrote a 2002 F-body operating system for my Nova's conversion. You should be able to do a similar re-write with maybe a DBC van operating system?
The one downside is that you have to license both your ECM and the operating system that you are going to over-wright with.

Only 2? I can think of at least a half dozen of them, inclosing the 411, 6243, and any of the express van PCM's they used on the gen 3 motors through 2006.

Well, I have a friend who has an 01 Camaro computer/harness. Seems that the reluctor/crank sensor should be the same.
Would that possibly be a good option for replacement? will I run into any other differences? My knock sensor is an external on bottom of block vs. 2 in valley cover.
Any advise would be appreciated.
