Default RPMs rise during shift

What would cause my rpms to rise for a split second when I shift from neutral to drive or reverse. I am talking about 300 to 400 rpms . I am thinking something in my tune could control this. I would like to try and smooth this out but I am not sure where to look .Thanks.
