Does anyone know what size the pins are on an e38 harness and where I could buy them? RadioShack maybe?

You don't need the fancy crimping tools. Just crimp them carefully with needle nose pliers, then a traditional style crimper and finally solder.

Radio Shack doesn't carry anything like what you are seeking.
