We are trying to figure out why this LS1 GTO is underperforming.

We figure the car was tuned at one point. And then, at a later point, the 2nd owner might have swapped the engine. And now, the current owner (3rd) has an underperforming car due to the car having been tuned for an engine that it doesn't have.

We are now wondering if it is possible to, for lack of a better term, de-tune it.

We currently have access to only a Tech2 OBD scanner. So, is there an option to "reset to factory settings"??

Greatly appreciate any input on this guys!

Do you have a subscription for TIS? You can get a stock calibration through it and flash that in with a tech 2. The only other way would be have someone check the tune with tuning software. If you mail me the pcm I can tell if its stock or not and we can go from there.
