Default 2000 Cluster in a 98?

I did this a little *** backwards but, I recently purchased a cluster out of a 2000ss from a fellow board member...

Is there any way to repin/convert a 2000 SS cluster to work in my 98 Z28?

Already having purchased it..ive read that 98s and 2000s use a different type of scale etc..

Can somebody please clear this up for me?

Thanks

98 cluster only works in 98. 99-02 cluster will not work. I fried a 98 cluster in a 2000.
