Gen III Flex fuel

Gen III Flex fuel
I just wanted to show what i have been working on for a few weeks now. This is a 1999 FLEX FUEL silverado. Using a 0411 pcm and a flex fuel content sensor. Pretty simple of an installation, just wanted to show that it can be done! Wirings still messy but it will get cleaned up, i just wanted to protect it a little better before i get better wire wrap.
Sensor and pigtail
Wired in and going!
Overall it is awesome being able to go to any gas station and put in any mix, as before i was just on 85 so i struggled with the mixtures.

You should include a parts list for some people who are new to the idea. I wish HPT supported 3bar tuning on that OS
Also, if you did a full write up, i guarantee it would get stickied

Yea i will do a full writeup! yea yea i wish it was 3 bar to but my truck will never be FI so it doesnt really matter hahaha my car on the other hand is turbo so im just gonna go with straight e85 tune and just test the content levels

Was that 02 OS already set up for flex fuel or did you have to add it? I haven't researched this much yet but what little I've read made it sound like it was hard to get flex fuel to work with 411s. I'm putting a 6.0 in one of my Firebirds and want to turbo it and run flex fuel

I know the OP said he would do a full wright up but I have been researching this quite a bit in the last couple days and here's a couple answers to the questions already asked.
OS 12216125, which for EFILive means no COS and for HPTuner's only 2 bar speed density COS (I would assume this is the OS the OP is using based on info given)
The flex fuel sensor pictured appears to be part#13577429(OP correct me if I'm wrong)
The short wiring harness appears to be part#13352241(OP correct me if I'm wrong)
The Russell adapter from hardline to an is part#644123
All part #'s were sourced from http://forum.grrrr8.net/showthread.php?t=36467
I'm contemplating the PCM swap that bigmandengo mentioned except I was looking at a 2003 Chevrolet Express Van OS 12579405. It has a 3bar COS available from EFILive (not sure about HPTuners). If I pull the trigger I will definitely report back

Don't know everything involved yet as I'm still researching it, but at this point it looks like you would just have to swap a handful of pins around. I know after looking at lt1swap.com the O2 sensors are wired/controlled differently but that would only apply if you are running closed loop speed density.

Is the 2005 express van a blue/red or blue/green connector style?
Also, when I was looking at a retail description of this specific application ecu, it listed it as having 4 sets of 32 pins... Is this right? I thought both the blue/red and blue/green connectors both had 4 sets of 40 pins.
Anyone have a gm number for the express van ecu? I'm finding different numbers from different sources.

Here is a great link for info on which p59 pcm's work for dbc applications..
http://lt1swap.com/cable_conversion.htm
According to his research, it looks like the 2801 pcm might work.
Those prices on rockauto look a bit steep. You might want to check ebay or a local junkyard for a pcm. You shouldn't have to pay more than $100 for one.
