tranny tune issues need some insight.

2000 ls1 and 4l60 in a 40 Chevy coupe. Engine has mid length headers, and an ASA cam. Tranny is fresh rebuilt with new stock converter . Rear is 273 with 24.5 tire. At WOT it bangs the limiter in every gear. I have set wide open rpm at 5500,5400,5400 and it still bangs the limiter at 6500 in all shifts. I have changed the shift speed as well to lower speeds. Right now it only bangs the 1-2 shift about three times before it shifts and about the same in the 2-3 shift. Anyone have any luck on this issue? I read thread after thread and tried those ideas some helped a little.

I do not know about self tunning but figured I would throw this out there. Fluid level of the 4l60 filled to the max line on dip stick or even over fill it just a tit

Fluid level is good. Fresh filter as well. Have tried unplugging the MAF to see if that would help as a suggestion I had read in a couple other posts and it didn't help and could barely keep it running.
