Default rear 02 sensor on a 2000 ls1 camaro problem

I have a stock Camaro that has a bad rear 02 sensor and it threw a check engine light. my question is, can I just have the rear 02 sensors turned off and solve the problem or is better just to replace it. the reason i'm asking is sooner or later im going to put headers, small cam and a few other mods on it. thanks for any help.

Yes you can have them turned off but a new sensor is cheaper. Since its a rear O2... just go with the cheapest you can find.

Its really up to you, if your going to get a tune anyway then just get them deleted in the tune. Our mail order tune is only $150 right now for that car or if you just wanted the rear 02 deleted I could do just that cheaper.

Will it have any negative affects on the car with the rear 02's turned off?
