Default TCM Question

Quick question, if I change the tcm ( Brand new) in my 69 Camaro with a
LS2 and 4l70e and not having any programming tunning, etc done would it cause the car not to rev like past 3000 rpm. THANKS!

Likely yes. If it's a new unprogrammed (blank) tcm, you need to program it with a tech 2 the first time. Then use hptuners to tweak it.

Thanks for the reply, this happened when I changed the camshaft and intake, after the install had some codes and could not get the scanner to link up, thank goodness found out on here it was the tcm so replaced it with a new one, when I first got the car running it ran fine would rev and idle fine so went up the road, trans shifting funny as I expected it would, then it wouldn't go in low gear and takes off in second and would not rev past three grand, so I parked it, any way finally going to the tuner next week to see what's up but was kind of wondering if it put the pcm in limp mode or something. THANKS!
