Life choices....
I thought mega squirt yea its cheap, but then you need buy an msd to control spark from what I'm told. The 6010 and wiring is 365 dollars alone.
Then I thought what about just a ls1 harness and pcm. Then I thought How will I tune it? What wires need to be changed, will it fit a stock truck intake, Do i need to have the pcm reflashed? Even then that still comes out to like 400-500 dollars.
Am I not thinking of something simple, thats cheaper and will get the job done?
it can directly run the coils
if you have no wiring skills it will cost more but here is a plug and play version

Have you called junkyards/sourced eBay for wiring harnesses & ECMs? The harnesses usually only go for $100-$200 and the ECMs are affordable as well. From there, we can get the harness pared down for you if you are overwhelmed with wiring. We offer two options, cutting the wires out, or pulling them out entirely (if you were trying to save weight and wanted every last oz out). Either way we take out whatever you don't want, give you a three wire hook up, new convoluted tubing/tape, fuse box, DLC and instructions that tell you what goes where.
Since you are aiming to be turbocharged I would definitely stick with the GM EFI over the MS set up, it will be worth it.
