I just recently got an ly6 with an ls3 top end installed into my 2001 WS6. I have all the boltons with a recently build tranny and a yank ss 4000 stall. But my mechanic decided to use my stock ls1 fuel system with 28 lbs injectors. Yesterday I get the following pic from my tuner stating that the car as some problems. He text me the following pic from his hp tuner program. I am not really knowledgeable on tuning. Can someone help me understand it?
I'm new to this as well but at least I can tell you that an injector duty cycle of over 100% is theoretically bad. If possible, I've read and been told you should try to keep it around 85% or below. I would guess it is time to upgrade your injectors. LS3 top end on a LY6 should need bigger injectors.
For your tuner to send you a screenshot without telling you what the problems are is fairly asinine, IMO. Unless he is some kind of tuning savant with serious communication issues, you might want to find a more communicative tuner.
I was able to get a hold my tuner and he explained to me the same. That the stock injectors were maxed out at 58 percent throttle and that my upgraded tranny is not going to hold. So hes asking for 42 lbs injectors.
