PCM and fuel sender
PCM and fuel sender I just put a new motor in my 98 Trans Am but repinned the harness to a 99+ but still have the original metal tank. Would it be easier to have someone retune the PCM for the 98 sender or swap out to a tank and sending unit from a 00 parts car I have?

I was told the resistance range on the sending unit was different than on the 99+ is why the fuel gauge wouldn't work. All the other gauges work with no issues with the repinned harness, but I had also heard the oil pressure sending unit wouldn't work, the temp sender wouldn't work but they all do.
