Fine tuning idle... Finishing up the tune on my 00 T/A A4 w/thumper cam, LT's, exhaust and stall. Idles great now (an occasion surge), runs great, driveability is also great. My problem is every once in a while the idle dips DRAMATICALLY when shifting from neutral/park to drive. When it does happen, it dips low enough to stall and die. But if you catch it and just blip the throttle it comes right back to where it needs to be.
Tuning with LS Edit and scanning with a Tech2. LSA is 109
Any ideas or pointers would be GREATLY appreciated.

I had the same exact issue and posted many times with very little help. I found that adding to the idle airflow table solved all those issues, so it basically needs more air while idling. Mine would try to stall but the ECM opened the throttle more in response, so I figured it needed more air and it was true. Not sure how that applies to a cable throttle, but that's the general idea.

exactly I'm not sure how to do it on efi live but there is a config for hptuners to make it easy. You have to log desired airflow vs coolant temp from a cold start all the way hot without touching the gas pedal at all and leaving the fans off. Once you get those values I usually add a bit more for padding then just copy those values into the raf table. Blindly adding airflow can work but its guesswork and if you go too far it will causing a hanging idle
