SES just a "bulb"?
I know the SES light is turned on by the PCM, but is it just a bulb that gets power to light up or is there actually a serial signal like the ABS light?
I'm replacing my gauge cluster compleatly with Autometer gauges but I still nee the SES light for Emissions time. I planed on getting a dead gauge cluster, cutting the lense/gauge face that says "SES" off and then putting it on my new gauge pannel. Then I would just tap into the line comming from the PCM that powered the bulb so the SES light would fuction as stock. Will this work? Does anyone know what pin on the PCM does the SES?

Yes its just a bulb tied to the PCM. If you get a pin-out of the PCM, find the wire for the MIL. I believe its a brown wire with a strip. I have a buddy that we placed an engine in a 88 truck, and just used a red lamp for the SES light.
