Default 98 ecm vs 99-up

I see that there is a difference in the 98 ecm and the 99-up as far as the later models being more tunable. I guess my question is, will a 98 ecm support bolt-ons, cam, headers and exhaust, etc.? Looked for a post that would answer this directly but did not find one so if someone could help either way I would appreciate it. Shad.

Yes a 98 pcm will support those mods with no problem with tuning.

Thx for the info. I also called a place here in GA that gave me the same info. I am told that the 98 can be tuned but not to the same degree and that it needs to be done by someone who has experience with the 98 specifically for it to be a good tune. Anyway, thx for the reply...I'll do some more looking here on this site and elsewhere.
