Default Help hp tuners changing vin #

Ok I have a 01 z28 and tried reading the pcm and it's tuner locked, so I found a 02 z28 pcm and plugged it in and got it licensed and all is well.

Smog is coming up so I wanted my 02 PCM to match my 2001 vin #

I enter the 2001 vin under "change vin" and after it goes through I found out that I lost my license since the PCM is now considered a 2001 and the new vin is not licensed.. Ok so here's my question, I just want to change the vin # back to the licensed 2002 that it originally was..

Is there a way to do this without having to license the 2001 vin first?

If I have to license the 2001 vin, I can swap right back to the 2002 vin that was originally licensed?

Default

If you already licensed that PCM and you are using HP Tuners I would contact their support via email. I've done this several times and never had an issue.
