So I have a mail order tune in my car, but is there a software I can download to my laptop just to touch it up?

Purchase hp tuners and license your PCM and you can do whatever you want to it!

you won't lose it, you are just licensing it so you can make changes..

If you don't license it all you can do is look at it, can't make any changes

Either way you need tuning software to have the ability to mess with the tune..

My experience:

1) Buy HPtuners

2) Get a wideband and install

3) Spend hours and hours learning the software and basics of tuning

4) Get frustrated with the number of tables involved in tuning the stock GM PCM

5) Finally get a handle on everything but the mysterious hanging idle while rolling to a stop

6) like/mostly hate the HpTuners forum

7) Buy Grag Banish DVD

8) Have some more success

9) Buy Holley EFI for your next project, enjoy great success!

Heh, but in all seriousness, I'm glad I have HpTuners and have spent a lot of time dealing with it and tuning in general. It's a learning curve and it can be quite rewarding when you help your buddies get their car absolutely dialed in and they're happy. Good luck!

When you first hook up Hptuners the first thing you should do is save you tune. Then you can make all the changes you want and you will always have your original tune to compare or reinstall.
