Getting tune before mod
Hey guys I just finished a cam swap and 9in install. Cam specs 227/235 610/620 lsa110. Anyways my question is can I get a mail in tune tuned for an ls6 intake or a bbk intake while still on the stock intake. Reason I ask is I want to drive the car and I can't find an intake reasonably priced at the moment and I dont want to have to get two tunes. Or can I just get tuned for the factory intake and not worry about retune after the intake install thanks!

Just FYI, with genuine LS6 intakes fetching close to $600, you might consider the new Dorman LS6 clone which sells for $340. Here is an article and dyno test of it:

Thanks for the replies I didnt think it would be to big of a deal just making sure. I would prefer a street/dyno tune but the closest tuner from me is at least 3hr away. And I seen those dormans thought about it defiantly a ressonable price. There is rumours dorman is making a ls2 intake thats supposed to be alot better hopefully they will come out soon. But I probably become inpatient and get some intake between genuine bbk or the dorman.
