slow PCM and shift light?
slow PCM and shift light? Well the car ran great last year with no problems then all of a sudden the shift light would not work. I bought a new shift light and still nothing. I bought a new PCM got it reflashed and the light worked great. Well the same thing has happened again this year. The shift light has decided not to work yet the car runs and dynos like a champ. The light does not work in 1st or 2nd gear until you are hitting the rev limiter like crazy but as the rpm’s do not increase as quickly in 3rd and 4th the light works so it’s like the PCM is reading slow in the first couple of gears. I have double and triple checked all connections and after my experience last year I know something is wrong with the PCM. Now here are my questions. Would not starting the car for like 6 months then starting it after storage effect the PCM? What about too many uploads of LS1edit programs? Could I hook the shift light up to the #1 coil pack and set it to 1 cylinder? If so which wire?
