P0717, Possible to tune out ISS?
I just installed a 2008 5.3 and 4L60E out of a Silverado into a 70 GTO. Running the E38 ECM and T42 TCM. Transmission was built by Jakes Performance to Level 2. Yank SS3600 Converter.
I went on a short test drive and the Trans acted odd, seamed to start out in second and shifts were a little erratic. Lockup and unlock of the converter seemed mistimed also. When I manually selected 1st and manually shifted the tranny the shifts were great.
I scanned it when I got back and had the P0717 code for ISS. I did a search and all I could find was speculation on whether it could be removed within the tune. I did find that code will cause the erratic shifts I experienced.
Does anyone know if it can actually be removed within the tune? If so will it have any adverse affect on the transmission? I don't think 4l60's got ISS until 2007 so they worked prior to that. Would appreciate some input on this.
