Newbie Tuning Question
Newbie Tuning Question i read somewhere with one of the tuning programs either hp or eflive that 98 z28's have unlimited free tuning?
so my question is if someone that locally owns that program could tune my 98 without them having to buy a credit or whatever its called?
then rather than couple hundred dollars i can give someone a couple packs of beer for a tune? haha
or am i way off base,,,, i do not know anything when it comes to tuning
just dont want to pay 450 for a dyno tune when i only have small mods( in sig)
and cant ship out my pcm to frost for 150 because i need my car for work
to bad there isnt a company that tunes a pcm.. mails it to you,, you swap it out and send your old one back to them.. or just keep your old one

On a 98 corvette or camaro EFI Live doesn't require a license in order to tune the pcm. You will still pay the same price for a tune regardless with most shops when they have to pay for a license or not. Alot of shops also charged extra to tune 98's or won't tune them at all.

I am guessing because they can be a pain to tune and the pcm's are easier to brick than a 99+. Im not a 100% sure why others wont tune them, we tune them. We get lots of calls about tuning 98's saying they cant find anyone to tune them.

i know bolt on and up to fi gets pricey
but with my small mods has anyone else had a tune done just for headers & exhaust
figure ill pick up 15hp or so?
ive been recommended to have Jeremy formato tune my car but everytime fasterproms calls im at work and cant answer to find out what he charges and they never say in the voicemail (bad timing lol)
