Default 5.3/4l80e PCM

If I get, lets say, a 2004 5.3 dropout with everything, and a 4l80e 2wd trans, will the 5.3 PCM ( with some tuning ) be able to work the 4l80? From what I've seen, most 5.3's had a 4l60 behind them. I just want to make sure I don't need a different PCM to run a 4l80 behind a 5.3. And I am sorry if this has been covered a million times.

Yes, it could be made to work since 6.0's came with the same PCM and had 4L80E's behind them

X2. It's what I'm running in my car and been working well for the past 3 years.

For it to work properly, you need to do a segment swap on the trans, and make sure you wire in 2 speed sensors for the 80E.
