computer ???? I was at the HOTROD POWER TOUR in Arlington and seen several ls1's with MAF translators. What is it and about how much.
Also i wanted to know kind of power range i would be getting with getting computer tuned. i have mid length headers, K&N cold air setup, 3 inch pipe, with a single chamber in replace of the stock muffler with a turn down after it.

The MAF Translator adjusts the signal from your Mass Airflow Sensor to compensate for rich or lean conditions. Using it requires Autotap, or some other diagnostic software. I think it costs like $150-$200 new. You can get them used for about $75 with shipping included.
There is no way to be sure how much more power you would get with tuning, could be a few, could be twenty. You never know until it is done.
