Default Cammed LS6 - Bucking quite noticeable

My specs are as follows:
C5Z06
Stock intake/tb
ported heads
230/230 114lsa .590 cam
ARH headers
3.90 gears
EFI Live custom OS
435 RWHP 408 RWTQ

I had it dyno tuned a while back. I'm having really bad surging and bucking under 1600 RPM in traffic and low speed limit zones. The worst part is traffic where I am cruising at 14 mph, but if I give it any gas in 1st or 2nd it will start bucking violently and I have to push in the clutch or lug it in 3rd.

My second issue is that I have to give some gas while street-shifting for the RPMs not to drop too low. Also my launches are made more difficult because I have to give it quite a bit of gas for it not to stall out (a lot more than non-cammed C5's at least.)

I'm going back to the tuner hopefully soon.

My question is what can I ask him to change to solve my problems?

DFCO? VE Tables? Throttle cracker?

I'd appreciate any help you can give me guys. Thanks!

That cam should drive nicely even with minimal tuning.

Bucking like you describe is an issue with timing and the follower table.

Do you have any suggestions on what I could check on the mechanical side of things that could be causing this?

I've cleaned the intake, changed the intake gaskets, resealed the intake shroud.

There is a tiny crack in my callaway honker, would that cause any of this?

It shouldn't, only air leaks after the throttle body will cause issues.

Adding to the throttle follower should just about fix both your issues, the bucking and the rpm drop while changing gears, but incorrect timing can also have a big effect on the former.

What does your timing table look like?

Post a log file.

Did the low rpm bucking just start happening recently, or was it there from the dyno tune.

I don't do my own tuning. So I wouldnt be able to get that information.

The symptoms occurred before and after the tune.

Everything you mentioned points @ the tune. No magic button to fix your issue's, your deal should dial in very easily with a good solid foundation. If the basics are not correct you just start turning ***** & poking at it with a stick to mask a basic issue that my end up creating another problem.

No one can help you here without a tune file & a log of the issue.

What kind of logs do you need? I could pull some through an OBDII phone app if necessary.
