Default Evap controls for conversions?

Tuning gurus: is it possible to retain the Evap canister purge function but disable the canister vent function? I am putting together a Iron LS2/LS3 hybrid that will be controlled by the DBW harness and PCM from a 2003 suburban. The swap car (1983 BMW 533i) needs only the purge as the canister does not have a vent. I'm about to send the 0411 PCM off to be flashed for stand alone operation so I need to know if Evap protocols are tied together in the calibration or if they can be independently controlled.

Thanks!

all the vent solenoid does is close off the vent for the obd2 leak test. The ecm closes the vent and opens the purge and makes sure the fuel tank pressure sensor sees the pressure drop. Make sure the codes related to this test are disabled and you should be good without the vent.

Awesome, thanks for clarifying how the system works!
