questions about 3 bar map
questions about 3 bar map im currently tuned with 2 bar in speed density, if i put a 3 bar in do I have to start from scratch on the tune? what has to be done in hp tuners to facilitate the change? Ive heard the 99 computer cant handle the 3 bar, is this true? if so I have one from a 2000 i can switch to
1999 and 2000 pcm's are the same.
You can add a 3 bar map. You will only need to change the calibration numbers in the diagnostics section.
To utilize it past 215 Kpa you would need to upgrade to a 3 bar operating system and build a new VE table. Would not be hard though. Just copy your 2 bar table over and put in numbers past 215 kpa.
