Default swaping 99 pcm into 98 corvette

Hello,
I am trying to find more info on swapping a 99 pcm into a 98 corvette.

Does anyone have a good source for a repin guide for what wires go where?

Also what do I tell the tuner to flash a 99 corvette tune on the pcm or do I need to have a 98 corvette tune on the pcm?

get a baby label maker to keep your sanity it worked very well for me and to label where they started and where they go on each tag. this helps also in case you put one in the wrong place you can track it down easier.

The repin guide is available here:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/pcm-diagn...cm-99-pcm.html

(I recently cleaned it up and made a few tiny corrections.)

If you first buy a spare set of Red and Blue connectors, you can simply move one wire at a time from the old connector to the new connector and will not have to label anything. Note that the harness will get shorter and have uneven length wires in it; it will be messy.

How about a reason for wanting to, or thinking you need do it? And if you have to tell the tuner anything about how to make it work you are using the wrong tuner. A competent tuner will know what needs to be done.

I was wanting to know the OP's reason. There are really only a few legitimate reasons to do the swap.

I did it so that I could log more parameters at once in the HPT scanner.
Since I was running OL and MAF-less I also hated dealing with two VE tables.

I don't want to do this but I can't find a new pcm. The one I did find wouldn't accept a corvette tune (according the tuner) and would only accept a camaro tune.

I am wondering if your how to will work for Corvette isn't the wireing harness different between the vette and the F-body?
