Default HPT licensing q's

I have a few questions about licensing, as I'm a noob to the HPT thing. As of right now, my PCM from my 2007 GMC Sierra has been tuned through a local tuner, so in turn it has been licensed already. I recently purchased a buddy's HPT programmer from him. I read my PMC and saved the file, but now it's asking me to license my PCM again? I thought once it was licensed I can do unlimited tuning? Or is that unlimited per programmer?

Next question about licensing is that I am finishing up my 80e swap. I have downloaded 2.25 beta, and now have a file from HPT with a matching OS to mine. So do I have to license that file, as well as mine, to do the segment swap? Or am I only needing my original file licensed to swap the segment over? I hope that all
Makes sense! Thanks guys

The license only works for each individual hptuners. So it has to be licensed to any hptuners that wants to access it..

And just email hptuners support with the segment you want and they should be able to make the change and send it back to you..

You don't need to license the segment file you want to swap into your file.
