Default KO sensor question

I am getting the SEL and a 327 code. This started after replacing a bent valve on #7. I disconnected the Neg. to let the computer relearn the motor's harmonics and other sounds. Later, the computer registered a 332 code or right bank knock. I disconnected the battery again for a second relearn. The code disappeared but the SEL still lights up after the motor warms up.

The motor runs like glass. The bent valve and broken guide repair was successful. The valve got bent after the rocker arm pounded its way through the aftermarket Ti retainer. This happened slowly over several thousand miles, until it finally broke. Hence, the sensors did not register a code. But, they do now since the repair.

I am thinking of disconnecting the KOs. Will this cause the computer to retard or tamper with the motors performance. Or should I continue with relearning until the computer relearns the engine sounds. The motor runs like silk and I am not going to start removing parts to repair this. Any thoughts you may have on this issue is appreciated. Red.

Replace the knock sensors and harness. Use only AC Delco sensors. Torque them to spec when installing. And in the future at least mention the year and type of vehicle you are wanting help with.

Perhaps you are unaware that I started the thread in Gen III internal forum. That means of course that the motor must be a 1997-2004 LS1/6 for either an Fbody, a Corvette, or a GTO. For the record, the car is a 2004 GTO. The thread was transferred here.

Having said that, I have read posts on how to change them correctly. I am operating under the assumption that maybe, just maybe, the knock sensors maybe on to a new noise or harmonic after the valve change. I am looking for advise as to how have the KSs relearn the motor's harmonics after changing a bent valve or other major parts. If someone is familiar with this issue, please instruct.

If the KSs prove to be at fault, then I will replace them as instructed. In any event, thanks for your time.
