Default Code P1682

I have a 2008 LS3 running an E38 ECM in a custom vehicle. The ECM came out of the vehicle I got the engine out of.

Occasionally it will throw a P1682 code when starting and even more rarely whilst driving.

The result of the code is the DBW loses all function and we coast to a stop.

Remove the code and drive on.

The other day it did it twice in 2 miles and I'm no longer confident to drive in busy traffic for fear it will chuck the code and die.

I know what the code is for and I've tried all sorts of fixes until I decided to look at the ECM plugs.

From what I can see pin 19 on the Black plug should have a pink wire feeding 12 volts ign switched power.

My loom doesn't have that particular wire.

The loom was modified by an alleged expert (yeah?) and I've had a few other problems with it.

My question is (finally!) should I be applying/installing 12volts ign power to pin 19?

I have a spare ECM with the tune and VIN in it so if I blow one up it isn't the end of the world.

All and any help most appreciated.
