I have it and I'm still playing with it to see what's changed. I do agree that it's good - really like the look and feel. I intend to update often as I imagine there will be many adjustments and fixes once more people start using it and find problems that aren't found during testing.

can't use 224 config files in 3.0.. you have to recreate them all in 3.0.. it's one of the biggest complaints on their forums..

Several people found bugs within the first couple hours so I am waiting till things settle in a bit personally to download it. They say configs are much easier to build in the new release , sampling rate is much quicker , and I forget the terminology but there is a tool or something to hook up your wideband without having to go through all the voltage offset math to make it read accurate in scans , looking forward to that myself...

I have version 3.0.9 and I can load my old 2.24 log files and view them. Thats where i got the picture from I posted in the first post.
As far as adding a wideband, what I can see, they are trying to add all the MPVI interfaces so you can just click and add without having to mess with the offsets. But, if you need to mess with the offset then you can transform the MPVI channel and you have all the control to do so.
If you have to build one that is not in their list, the specifically want you to contact them so they can add it to the list.
From Help File
If your transform is not listed in our default list, we'd like to add it for you. Please e-mail our support department and we can add it to a future build.

You can have both 3.xxx and 2.24 on the same computer u just have to rename the "VCM SUITE" file folder to say "VCM SUITE 2.24" create a shortcut on the desktop for the scanner and editor from the VCM suite 2.24 fold after you renamed it, then download 3.0Xxx and install
My Computer
Program files
Hp tuners
VCM suite .. Rename to VCM suite 2.24 then open folder and make shortcuts on desktop for the scanner and editor.
Backup everything on a sd card or flash drive
Also in the scanner if u go to top drop down menus\ tools \ math parameters open that then go down to user defined and that's where you create the "custom PID" Then later in the graphs u can pick your custom pid/ math parameter as a parameter to set up histograms/graphs

The 3.0 is just like the 2.25 beta was with a few new features. With any new software update (no matter what software) there will be growing pains and bugs here and there. HPT seems to be really on top of listening to customers and fixing bugs, its on the 10th update as of earlier when I downloaded it again.

They have to be on their game right now after how long it took to get fixes for the 2.24 Mvpi standalone data logging that got screwed up by a firmware update. They caught a lot of **** over that from people and when it takes half a year plus to make the fix they knew they needed to step it up

Does it have a VIN change tool or a DPF delete option? 13 revisions in less than a week? Did anyone beta test this stuff? Sounds more like Microsoft and their perpetual updates. Scanner and icons looks cartoon-ish. Just because it looks different does not mean it is better. Unless it has added functions, for now I will keep my older functional version. Just my opinion.

3.0 has been beta tested as 2.25 for a very long time. The users who participated in the beta are generally not having issues.
The problem with beta testing is its a select group. When you go general public, there are orders of magnitude more people trying stuff out, finding issues, and adapting to the new interface. Many of the reported issues are things the beta user group had likely accepted and learned to work around, but the flood of new users doesn't willingly accept.
To use your windows analogy, if it were Microsoft we'd get a service pack in six months. They're working their asses off at HPT. I've been getting support emails on Saturday nights.

Software development is very expensive and no amount of testing will find all of the problems that will arise when real users get their hands on it. At some point you have to release the software to the general public and fix problems as they arise. It's amazing that the initial problems have been addressed so quickly. Kudos to HPTuners!!!

2.25 was available to anyone who asked to have access.
I tune Dodge/Chryslers so it was a requirement. I stuck with 2.24 for my own GM cars.
So I didn't have to adjust to 3.0
It would have been nice if they would have warned users that 3.0 would wipe out 2.24 unless you saved it somewhere safe.
