01-02 DBW TB only moves with engine off
I have a matched set of harness, pedal, and tac. The TAC is the correct all plastic unit. I did not get an ECM when I bought it but bought an 01 sierra ECM and copied all the values out of an 02 escalade tune into it. All the fields are the same so the ECM is compatible. I am running a correct GM 01-02 TPS that is bolted to the Ford gt500 tb. I am using a ford DBW TB actuated by the GM harness that fully works with the engine off.
The ford DBW TB does move when I push the DBW pedal when the ignition/key is on. As soon as the engine starts the TB will not move. With the engine off the TB has a soft hum and has full 0-100% TPS signal as read on HPtuners. After about 30 seconds of not touching the pedal the TB will stop humming. Push the pedal again and it works and hums.
Anybody know what is causing the TB to not work with the engine on and work fully with the engine off? I have no codes related to the DBW system. I attached my tune if that helps.
Does it sound like there is a wire missing in the standalone part? Does the ECM need to see a MAF, alternator, or oil pressure signal or something? I have a bunch of power wires out of the stock harness that are just doing nothing like the MAF and 02's and trans. Since I was planning on going speed density 2 BAR upgrade with hptuners I didnt hook any of that stuff up. When I was trying to get this to work and had the fuel pump relay fuse pulled out and the HPtuners interface would not connect to the ECM and with the key on the DBW setup wouldnt work.
Thoughts? Sensor, wiring, or tune issue?
