Default ls3/th400 stalling issue

hoping someone can shed some light on this annoying problem.

its a new ls3 running the e67 controller mated to a th400 with 2800rpm stall torque converter.
when warm and shifting from drive to reverse or vice versa the engine keeps stalling.

is the controller looking for a shift signal ect but not getting it ?

this is the engine in question

The problem is the ECM is programmed as a manual so its not looking for a auto transmission. Since the ECM doesnt see the trans or no your changing gears its no adjusting the idle like it would in a factory auto. You have to adjust at a minimum the idle, idle airflow, and timing tables to get it to work.

If you try to tell it there is an auto it will look for a TCM and open a whole new can of worms.

If it works cold and not when at temp I would look at your idle and idle airflow tables and add some air in at operating temp. As the engine is getting warmer the ecm adds less idle air.
