Oil pressure through obd2. Has anyone figured out a way to get oil pressure through the odb2 in a swapped vehicle?
I've got an '05 lq4 with the stock harness modified for standalone. It's the Blue/Green harness-ECU and DBW if that matters.
I want to be able to eliminate as many gauges as possible and use an iPad or Nexus tablet for a display.

I have logged oil pressure in swaps before but I dont know for sure how they wired it since I didnt do the hanress's but I think they just added the pins to the pcm and then used a OS that had oil pressure from the factory.
I havent done it with oil pressure personally but thats how I would log transmission temps years ago.

Blue/green PCMs have the oil pressure sensor wired from factory. You can scan the sensor value without issues.
Is yours was deleted from the harness, install new PCM pins as follows:
Of course you need a 03-06 sensor (not switch) and install it to the factory location.
After that you can use a scanner to read oil pressure.

Oil pressure through obd2. Blue/red PCM:
- Y-car: already enabled in System segment.
- F-car: needs to be enabled in System segment (platform, feature).
- Truck: depends on price/trim, can be as either of above.
In either case, PCM connector has to be pinned (refer to 2002 Y-car wiring diagram).
