Trying to figure out
Got a 02 Firebird Formula 5.7, it was a free car with a free rebuilt engine, don't ask cause it's a long story, just know I was very fortunate guy and I know it.
Long block was stock, upgrades include 92Mm throttle body with aluminum intake, fuel rails, headers and decent exhaust.
Car sounds good, runs good. When I'm driving it just rolls beautifully, except for the fact that this free car did have an auto tranny behind it.
However, when I get on it, say about 3/4 throttle, I get 3 codes that pop up every time. P0332, P0334, P0134.
The later tell me that the 02 sensor in bank 2 is basically not working, it is new, but not name brand. I know the others have to do with the knock sensors.
So my question is, can the 02 cause the knock sensor to trip?
When I'm just rolling, I never get a code. Only when I decide to give it some do I get the light. Only when the light first comes in does it seem to hesitate before it lets loose. And after that it's ***** to the wall, well as ball to the wall as the 4L60 allows.
Can any of you help me. Im a Napa guy, so getting parts is not a problem. Note that these sensors I bought from the web, so I dont hate on the Napa. Thank you.
You might have an electrical issue as well, you will want to check for power and ground to at least the O2 sensor.
Was the car tuned for the intake and exhaust? That can cause a lot of issues too.
