98 LS1 Alternator exciter wire
Yes, I know. Its been asked a million effin times. My problem here is with that exactly. Its been answered 999,000 times wrong (With someone rambling about how their 99 is wired up) and I just want to get this straight.
Have an ls1 out of a 98 trans am. Engine, trans, pcm, harness all out of the donor car in a 1972 GMC truck. I need to know where the exciter wire goes on the 1998 ls1 (not a 99+).

What I posted is all I can find for a 98. I don't know what the broken connection means on the SD between the alternator and PCM block. If you look at the 98 PCM pinout, it shows C2-61 to be PCM Battery Feed. Here is the diagram for a 99-02. You can see it is a direct connection between the L-Term and C2=15. And The C2-15 is labeled Generator Turn On Signal on 99-02 PCM pin out lists. Looking at the 98 PCM pin out list there is nothing labeled Generator Turn On or L-Term.
