Knock sensor not picking up knock

Knock sensor not picking up knock I've been experiencing some audible knocking lately around 4k-5k WOT so I decided to do some scanning. To my surprise it never picked up the knocks! I have not adjusted the sensor sensitivity so it is at the stock setting (2000 silverado, 5.3L)
I added a little PE fuel and took some timing out to hopefully help, but I am concerned why it didn't show any in my scan. Has anyone had this happen? Usually its the other way around. I did have some false knock detected around 2,500 rpm so I know they at least do something.
