Code P0404 P1404 rough idle

Code P0404 P1404 rough idle What is wrong with my car?? I just did a spark plug change and replaced my wires and now the car seems to be idling rough. I checked all the wires for connection multiple times......I checked the SES codes and found code P1404 (IAT-B circuit malfunction) and P0404 (Exhaust gas recirculation circuit range/Performance)... I took the two tubes connected to the exhaust manifolds off while replacing the plugs...and replaced them when done. What would cause this rough idle??? At higher rpms it runs nice....only when starting off it seems....
