Instrument Cluster not responsive

Instrument Cluster not responsive Hi LS1 gurus,
After rebuilding my engine I took its first drive. A couple issues happened and I ended up pushing it back to the garage. Among those issues, I saw that certain things on my instrument cluster were not displaying readings. My engine rpm was working, but my speedo was not, and when I tried to turn on the lights, the lights worked, but my instrument cluster did not light up ( so I couldn't read it during the night ride. My initial suspicion was a blown fuse ( I havent checked yet to verify) but if you guys have suggestions it would help me out a lot. I'm a college student so time is so limited that I can use any help I can get. Thank you.
