No vehicle speed sensor, stalling problem
Hi everyone,
I swapped a 5.3 into my dodge Dakota, with a stand alone harness from "just Chevy trucks" but I used the dodge transmission (ax15 manual 5spd) which has worked great so far but I can't plug the vss. The problem is that when I lift the throttle for a few seconds (for slowing down) and then step on the clutch the engine stalls. Is there a way to cheat the Ecu with a fake signal? Or maybe adapt the dodge vss signal with one of those Dakota digital signal converters? I wouldn't want to loose the dash speedometer tho.
Anyone been in this situation?
Thanks.

There are several VSS related items in the tune, but I just took a quick glance over a Silverado tune, and I didn't see anything that is really necessary in a way that can't just be tuned out.
