Default stalling in park/neutral after pcm swap

Swapped a 0411 pcm into my 98 ls1 firebird using the 98 harness. Also swapped the 60e for an 80e. Car runs and drives when in any forward gear or reverse. Put the car in park or neutral and it stalls, but if I keep my foot on the throttle I can keep it running. I've checked and double checked my pins and can't come up with anything. Also my fuel gauge and speedo don't work but that's another thread for later unless you guys think it plays a part here. Thanks for any input

I don't think your posts mentions neutral safety.

Have you actually got into the ECU and tuned it? Did you repin the harness for the new ECU? Did you swap from a 60e to an 80e in the tune?

Yes the pcm has had an 80e segment swap done and a base turbo tune. Harness has been repinned for the new pcm and trans but thinking I missed something

Did the segment swap get done on an automatic file in the 0411 or was the file originally a manual? It sounds like a swap was done on a manual file. Manual files have missing data in park/neutral sections.

I'm unsure if it was originally a manual or auto pcm. I guess that could explain a few things if what you are saying is correct. If it was a manual pcm, what needs to be done? Thanks

You need to start with an auto trans computer file then do the segment swap. To see if it was originally a manual file you can always open up the airflow tables and see if Park/Neutral are zero'd out or even on the target idle speed you will see 0's in those tables as well.
