Default Question About Tune for Fresh Rebuild

I've just completed a rebuild of my stroked LS2 with the only practical difference being a change in pistons brought compression ratio from 9.6:1 to 11:1. Is it safe to break in the engine (part throttle) until the previous speed density tune can be updated?

Being that my tuning shop is off for the holidays I've turned here for a little help..thanks!

I suggest lower ignition timing to prevent premature bearing wear due to detonation
So yes, need a retune

Thanks. I know ultimately it needs a tune, just wasn't sure if it can be driven safely the one hour to my tuner or if it would need to be towed.

if you will baby it, no sudden throttle changes, and no rapid acceleration, and no lugging, you can drive it to your tuner no issues.
