Default 1998 camaro pcm swap help

Good afternoon,

I have repinned my 98 camaro connectors to the 99 style pin out recently. Today i found a 0411 pcm from a silverado. My question is will I have to repin the connectors (currently in 99-00 locations) to run the 0411. The pcm i have is the serv number 09354896. I have read several pages and found good info on going from 98 to the 0411 but not 99-00 so i dont know if it is worth it to go to the 0411 and what is involved to make it happen.

car info
1998 camaro ls1, torquer v2, 3600 stall, fast 102/102tb-maf, NX 102 plate kit and milled heads to 64cc. Switching to the 1999-02 pcm at tuners recommendation due to mods and future plans for the car.

You won't notice any difference switching from a 4896 PCM to a 0411 if the same OS is flashed in both. If you already have the 4896 just run it. You can put any 99-02 F-body calibration in either one. Their pin outs are the same with the same OS in both. Some of the pin out assignments can change depending on if a car or truck OS is in them. On a side note unless you are wanting to run a 3 bar OS you can do a lot with a 98 PCM. They are really not as bad as some would make them out to be.

Thanks, i had it on the dyno for 2 hours and it would not except the tunes for some reason. My IAT was changing temp like crazy but the 99+ pcm was what they recommended. She hasnt ran right since i upgraded to the fast 102 and 102maf.

Also the car wouldnt run after you would rev it up. Once you let off the throttle she would choke.
one more thing when i re pinned to the 99 style one of the wires for the fuel output said to "TEST THIS FIRST" what do they mean, test with a meter, computer?
