Dyno Tune or Mail Order?

Dyno Tune or Mail Order? Looking at Deleting my EGR and putting on a new Lid and SLP MAF. Should be fine without a tune, right? I am going to purchase a set of headers and a Y pipe or X pipe soon to have installed at a local shop and I also want to put on the LS6 intake, but I might wait to do that since it is kind of pricey.
Should I pay $450 for a dyno tune after all of that or just pull my PCM and mail order tune with Frost for $150? Its just a DD/Cruiser. Not a track car.
I believe I should be okay to drive it lightly, either way, until its tuned. If I drive it to the local shop, about an hour and a half away, that wont hurt it untuned with the EGR delete, lid, MAF, and headers will it?
